Know what? I've moved!

Dear friends,

It has been nice knowing all of you here at Blogger, but I have decided to switch to another blog hosting service. Sure, Blogger has it's perks and all, cos' I know you all are still with good ol' Blogger, but the winds of change have blown and it's time for me to leave. (so dramatic.)

Don't worry, I still linked all of you and this blog will not be deleted, just fossilized for my reference (as well as yours) in the future. This new blog hasn't been washed clean out, it's got ALL my posts and comments from this blog. So my new blogging address is at:

http://estherify.wordpress.com/

Thanks. :)

... and the pressure builds up again.

It's been a long week, with the English drama competition and all. I'm pleased to announce that tomorrow is a HOLIDAY! (no choir!) :D (no offence, jess.)

I don't want to go around spreading gloom by saying that the Mid-year is 35 days away! XD (correct me if I'm wrong)

So I'll just say this, for inspiration to the rest of you:

"Destiny is not a matter of chance,
it is
a matter of choice;
it is not a thing to be waited for,
it is a thing to be achieved."
- Winston Churchill

Good advice doesn't come cheap. 5 cents per view, please? It'll cost you 10 cents to memorize it.

I was thinking of switching over to LiveJournal, because Blogger layouts are boring me to death. If I ever try to change it, it'll mess up with my settings and I figured: It's not worth the trouble getting my blog to look pretty. I love practicality! :)

But nah, I'm not going to cross over to LJ. (sounds like politics.) O.O
Too much hassle, and I'll lose everything in here. Awww..

Recently I visited Sony Ericsson's website and they have such nice FREE games, themes, pics available for download! Did I mention? Penangites love FREE things! They don't come by everyday. But alas...
Remember when mummy told you that nothing in life is FREE?
*all Penangites groan*
To download all that stuff, you have to go to the Sony Ericsson website using your phone (which will cost you about at least RM 3 after all that downloading)
So you see, there's a catch to the word "FREE".

I'm amazed at all the brilliant ideas in the world. I mean, if you have an idea, you could be a millionaire. You could start a global trend. You don't even have to do well in school to have an idea.
Stuff like Twitter, Plurk, MillionDollarHomepage.com -for pixel ads.... I don't like using all those apps or buying ad space by the pixel, but hey, these ideas have worth!

Moral of this story: THINK! Phua Chu Kang says: Use your BLAIN! Be innovative!

That's all I'll write for now. :)

Ahhhhhhh.

Well, it's time to stretch my lazy fingers and get typing.

First of all.. I have not blogged about exams because:

When I'm 66, and I go back to review this blog (that is IF Blogger still exists) I don't wanna be looking at an "OH NO. MY EXAM IS TMR" and "OH YAY! FOR NOW, MERDEKA IS HERE" post.
So... I have decided to not blog about exams. They depress me. Okay, maybe I'll blog about "LIBERATION FROM SPM" sometime in Nov 30th 2009. But THAT'S ALL. I shall not blog about exams more than I have to.

Chen Ni taught me how to massage her shoulders today. In fact, it SEEMS so easy, ALL the taitais on TV are giving massages to their lou kongs. I am an expert in curing headaches. Just tell me you've gotta headache and I'll settle it for you. That's because I'm good at BONE-TO-BONE massaging. Lemme tell you how it works. Shoulder massages are bone-to-flesh. You knead the muscles and ligaments to soothe them and release tension.

For BONE-TO-BONE massaging... It's a different story. You rub the bone with your knuckles. this is to relieve bone aches.

You know what? It doesn't really exist. Nononono... How do I put it? It isn't really err, recognised by all those massaging sifus. Even the ladies who 'pretend' to work at massage parlours can't do bone-to-bone massage.

Hey LOOK! Jenga- medical students' edition.

By the way, I've cancelled my Friendster account about 2 months ago- because I have too many 'friends' whom I've never known. By the way, today was SPM result day and our school did pretty well. By the way, I've used too many 'by-the-way's. By the way, I should stop now.

Your dear friend here is being shamelessly lazy...

My last post was nearly 3 months ago! :O

I actually have plenty of things to blog about, only now they've piled up soooo high in my to-blog-about list that it seems so HARD to blog about everything right now. Oh well, let's say we start on a new, clean, fresh slate. Let's assume NOTHING happened during my holidays and that NOTHING happened in school for the past 2 months. Then I will have an excuse not to blog about those things. :P

Of course, loads of things happened during that long span of time, so if you'd like to stay informed, read any of my friends' blogs. They're pretty updated. At least once a week, if you asked me... Even the choir blog is up-to-date.

OOOH!!! I found something to put in here to give me an excuse to put a picture!

Our group, Zionians, Penang Bible Camp 2008.

Sincerely yours,

The Laziest One.

If you don't read the paper...

At least read Kevin Cowherd's column every Tuesday and Friday. Seriously. I know, you don't get why I'm publicizing his column. Nope, he didn't pay me $25 to get this over with. This is a newspaper column review that I'm NOT getting paid for. (but I wish I was paid to do this..)

Okay. Kevin Cowherd (funny last name..) is a genius. He's not very good-looking, but hey, he doesn't go around pretending that he is. He entertains me every Tuesday and Friday when I read the StarTwo. True, his column doesn't have much to do with me, or you, or any kid anyway, because well, we know NOTHING about adult problems. I know you guys don't like listening to all the complaints and daily grumbles from your parents, but this guy... THIS GUY... He makes all that grumbling into something that actually makes you want to read about his rants.

Imagine that. A guy who makes grumbling entertaining!!!! :O

He should get a blog... he'd have millions of hits everywhere, from Africa to Beverly Hills! Those stressed actors and starving people need to get a laugh somewhere. And the turnout! He'd probably sit back on his deckchair, lazing in the sun, and wait for his million-dollar paycheck from advertisers on his blog!!

Anyway, I'll let you be bowled-over-laughing by this guy's article now. READ IT!!!

Kevin Cowherd

There are a million parking-ticket stories in this city and this is another one, because parking here has always been the emotional equivalent of death by paper-cuts.

The visitors' bureau people are always shouting: "Come to our great city! Stay at our hotels! Eat in our restaurants! Enjoy our nightlife!"

Sure. Just don't try to find a parking space.

And even if you do find a parking space, get ready for something strange to happen.

Look, I parked at a meter years ago and when I returned two hours later, a man was kissing the meter next to mine. OK, I say kissing. But what he was really doing was spitting into the coin slot to try to dislodge a quarter that was stuck.

Oh, I could tell you parking stories. We'd be here all day.

But this new story begins on a weekday afternoon in Fells Point, which is like the home office for strange parking stories.

This time, I luck out and find a parking spot on Thames Street, directly across from the Daily Grind, where I'm supposed to interview a woman for an article.

Now I walk over to the parking machine, where you scan your bank card and the machine gives you a receipt and you put the receipt on your dashboard, so the meter people don't have a cow.

Naturally, this being Fells Point, the machine isn't working. It won't read my card. And now I'm running late for this interview.

At this point, I get this brilliant idea: forget the machine.

I'll just go interview this woman and we'll sit at one of the tables outside the Daily Grind.

That way I can keep an eye on my car. And if anyone tries to give me a ticket, I can run across the street, explain the machine is broken and let my innocent Irish good looks do the rest.

Sure, that's a great plan. And for 45 minutes or so, it works like a charm. We sit outside. The sun is shining. The interview is going well.

Naturally, this being Baltimore, it can't last.

And, of course, it doesn't.

Because, suddenly, a big fish truck backs up right in front of where we're sitting. And these two guys jump out and start unloading fish and taking them into a nearby bar.

I don't know if you've ever sat downwind from a fish truck. But it's not the greatest experience in the world. You would never eat fish again if you went through this.

But what concerns me even more than the over-powering stench is that the fish truck is now blocking my view of my car.

And these parking enforcement people, they're sneaky. They're just the sort of people who would wait for a fish truck to block your view so they could slap a ticket on your car. It's like a big game to them.

On the other hand, I'm in the middle of the interview here. I can't just leave this poor woman to gag on fish fumes while I run across the street to check on my car.

Anyway, about 15 minutes later, I wrap up the interview and go back to the car.

And, of course, you know where this is going.

There, flapping in the breeze against the windshield, is a parking ticket.

The fine is 23 bucks. Welcome to Fells Point. Have a nice day.

OK, even though my capacity for self-pity knows no bounds, I didn't whine about this ticket.

After all, it was my own fault. Even though I was running late, I should have moved the car and looked for another parking space, which would have only taken another two hours in Fells Point.

Or I should have found a parking machine that worked - and good luck with that one, too.

But here is my very favorite part about this parking ticket story.

A week later, I decide to pay the ticket before I forget about it and the Man comes looking for me or it goes on my driving record.

"Pay online and avoid the hassles!" it says, or something like that, on the back of the ticket. And that sure sounds good to me.

So I sit down at the computer and call up the Baltimore City Web site. I click on the online payments button, then on the parking fines button.

Then I punch in my tag number and the citation number with my fat little fingers. And here's what happens next: nothing.

"No record(s) found," it says.

So I punch in the info again. Again, the same message flashes.

And then I see it. There at the bottom of the page is this message: "If you received a hand-written citation, it may take up to three weeks from the date of your citation to appear in the city's database."

Oh, this is beautiful.

They want the ticket paid in two weeks. But it might not be in the database for three weeks.

So good luck paying it online, sport. Mail it in or pay it in person.

This is why I love this town.

The emotional paper cuts never seem to stop.

I honestly thought this year would be just like any other...

But I was wrong. Come to think of it, I'm blogging about my birthday 2 weeks after. Man, I'm such an inconsistent blogger. Ok. This is the account of my birthday. The world dubs it 'Sweet 16', why, I don't know, but I think it's got something to do with those "strawberry-blonde" twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

I woke up on Monday morning, and was really surprised that for once in a really long time, I remembered that today was my birthday! (Thanks to my phone reminders) I know that's considered cheating...

But anywho, I wished that it could've fallen on a weekend instead of a mundane Monday, y'know, the day where everyone walks around with the "why-isn't-it-friday?!" bleary look. But I trudged to school, feeling glad that at least my exams were over (unlike how it's going to be next year)..
Although this was supposed to be some mundane Monday, my classmates still sang me "Happy Birthday"... how sweeeeeet.

Then... nothing.

It was just like every other day. I was hoping that I would at least FEEL taller! And that day came to pass... and everything was back to normal again.

UNTIL...

Saturday: By then I figured, it was just like every other year, we live, we learn, we grow... © LeeHueyFern

The only time where I actually celebrated my birthday was waaaaaaay back in Std. 5, the first and last time I had a birthday party. After that, I guess my mindset was pretty much the no-need-to-celebrate-your-birthday type. But why? I'm not old. (at least not yet)

I guess what I'm trying to say is.. by Saturday, I had completely forgotten that a few days back was my birthday.

Anyway... So, like every other Saturday, I went for Bible study, then the last youth meeting of the year, and the usual stuff I do on Saturdays...

Rachel was chairing the meeting, (not Rachel Chan) and she had this session to replace the games where we wrote nice Sugargrams (something like telegrams + sugar), little notes that speak encouragement and love for Hazel. She fell during her 'merentas desa' and fractured both wrists.

Ouch.

So.. we're happily decorating Sugargrams. And then after we're done, we listen to Johnny's message....

and after that... unexpectedly, Rachel says we can play one more game.
She goes:

Okay, we're gonna play a game now... I've picked Esther to be blindfolded.. I'll stick a piece of paper to her back and you guys spread out... She walks around blindfolded with me directing her, and you sign on her back, okay??

I go:
What's it for?? I mean.. why do they have to sign something on my back?? (at this point I didn't get the game)

She goes:
Err.. no.. we're gonna give it to Hazel with all the Sugargrams... (here is where I'm still confused, but I go along with it anyway..)

And go around the hall like this.. And get people to sign
the piece of paper stuck to my back, feeling rather silly...

And then they tell me to stop... Rachel suddenly makes a lot of scribbles on the paper...
and then: they take off the blindfold (finally..)

Hey PRESTO!

For one second, I was thinking: Why is there a cake smothered in Cadbury chocolate in front of me? What Rachel scribbled in a hurry was on that green piece of paper in the corner... And after all the singing and blowing candles and stuff were done...

Me: Who baked this? Qian Yu? (she's the one who usually bakes cakes on people's birthdays)
Edith: No.. Rachel and me!
Me: HOW? You live in the same house as me... how did I not know about this????
Rachel: Remember.. I came over to your house to sleepover??
Me: Yeah! But I was with all of you! You couldn't have baked a cake in my house without me knowing about it! Cos' I smell cakes that are at least 10 feet away!
Rachel: We baked it when you left for school the next morning...
Me: OHHHHHHH.

Honestly... this birthday was different! Thanks to you all!!! <3 s to all of you!

:O !!!

I last updated on Sept 30th??? Okay: I got this from my cousin.

A VERY INTERESTING CONVERSATION

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy was speaking to his Class on the Problem Science has
with
GOD, the ALMIGHTY. He asked one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . .

Professor :
You are a Christian, aren't you, son ?
Student :
Yes, sir.
Professor :
So, you Believe in GOD ?
Student :
Absolutely, sir.
Professor :
Is GOD Good ?
Student :
Sure.
Professor :
Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ?
Student :
Yes.
Professor :
My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him.
Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill.
But
GOD didn't. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent )

Professor :
You can't answer, can you ? Let's start again, Young Fella.
Is
GOD Good?
Student :
Yes.
Professor :
Is Satan good ?
Student :
No.
Professor :
Where does Satan come from ?
Student :
From . . . GOD . . .
Professor :
That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this World?
Student :
Yes.
Professor :
Evil is everywhere, isn't it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?
Student :
Yes.
Professor :
So who created evil ?

(Student did not answer)

Professor :
Is there Sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness?
All these terrible things exist in the World, don't they?

Student :
Yes, sir.
Professor :
So, who Created them ?

(Student ha
d no answer)

Professor :
Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe
the World around you.
Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen
GOD?
Student :
No, sir.
Professor :
Tell us if you have ever Heard your GOD?
Student :
No , sir.
Professor :
Have you ever Felt your GOD, Tasted your GOD, Smelt your GOD?
Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of
GOD for that matter?
Student :
No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Professor :
Yet you still Believe in HIM?
Student :
Yes.
Professor :
According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol,
Science says your
GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student :
Nothing. I only have my Faith.
Professor :
Yes,Faith. And that is the Problem Science has.

Student :
Professor, is there such a thing as Heat?
Professor :
Yes.
Student :
And is there such a thing as Cold?
Professor :
Yes.
Student :
No, sir. There isn't.

(The Lecture Theatre became very quiet with this turn of events )

Student :
Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega
Heat, White Heat,
a Little Heat or No Heat.
But we don't have anything called Cold.
We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go
any further after that.
There is no such thing as Cold.
Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.
We cannot Measure Cold.
Heat is Energy.
Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

(There was Pin-Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre )

Student :
What about Darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as Darkness?
Professor :
Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness?
Student :
You're wrong again, sir.
Darkness is the Absence of Something

You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light . . .
But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and its called
Darkness, isn't it?
In reality, Darkness isn't.
If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you?

Professor :
So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student :
Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is flawed.
Professor :
Flawed ? Can you explain how?
Student :
Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality.
You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good
GOD
and a Bad GOD.
You are viewing the Concept of
GOD as something finite, something
we can measure.
Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought.
It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully
understood either one.
To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that
Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.

Death is Not the Opposite of Life: just the Absence of it
Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your Students that they evolved
from a Monkey?
Professor :
If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of
course, I do.
Student :
Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument was going )

Student :
Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and
Cannot even prove that this Process is an On-Going Endeavor,
Are you not teaching your Opinion, sir?
Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher?

(The Class was in Uproar )

Student :
Is there anyone in the Class who has ever seen the Professor's Brain?

(The Class broke out into Laughter )

Student :
Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's Brain,
Felt it, touched or Smelt it? . . .
No one appears to have done so.

So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable,
Demonstrable Protocol,
Science says that You have No Brain, sir.
With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir?

(The Room was Silent. The Professor stared at the Student, his face unfathomable)

Professor :
I guess you'll have to take them on Faith, son.
Student :
That is it sir . . . Exactly !
The Link between Man &
GOD is FAITH.
That is all that Keeps Things Alive and Moving.

NB:

I believe you have enjoyed the Conversation . . . and if so .. .

You'll probably want your Friends / Colleagues to enjoy the same . . . won't you?

Forward them to Increase their Knowledge . . . or
FAITH.

Tagged by Juju bear!

The Juju Bear Tagged ME!

The Rules

1. Everyone who's tagged is a player. And since i'm tagged, i'm a 'player'. So, i have to blog about 15 habits/weird things/little known stuff about me.

2. State this rule in your blog.

3. After that, tag some other people so the line just goes on and on and on......

4. You cant tag that person back! xP

O-Kay.

1. I sing to songs without even knowing their lyrics. Just make up the words, which are not really even words, like *mumble mumble* y'know?

2. When I go crazy, I can talk about anything. Well, almost. Like horse pee on the floor. (I realize a lot of you are not exposed to the disorder I have)

3. I think that when you do kung fu/tai chi, you can't just flail your arms around and kick helplessly. You gotta generate energy (refer Bio books for tutorials on this) and gather it into your fists and feet. Then only will you have the power to punch, kick, whatever else, effectively. The master has spoken.

4. I type myself messages on my phone when I have nothing better to do. :P

5. I've always had this crazy feeling that if I did play golf, I'd be really good at it. I have yet to try. Who put that idea in my head, I really don't know.

6. I find that memories are the most imperishable things in my mind. Unfortunately, the same does not go for Sejarah, Bio, Physics, Chem and whatnot more.

7. You can tell if I'm really irritated when you talk to me and I don't reply, I snap back, and other negative actions that you normally do not see me doing. I also have a short span between patience and well, impatience. That means I can go from saying nothing to shouting at you in fury. (This is rare, except that my sisters have seen a bajillion times.)

8. I seriously regret my email address. It's so.. so.. err.. it doesn't make much sense, except to me. I would change it, but I hate the hassle of moving everything from here to there.

9. I like one-word stuff, cause it's simple yet it's quite intriguing at times. Like yesterday, I went out with PC, Tricia and Amanda.. then we went to Popular and there was this really nice notebook with one word like: imagine. write. blah. etc.

Man, this is getting tough...

10. I constantly dream of food. I don't know... maybe I'm deprived. I browse through grocery catalogs, like Cold Storage's 45th Anniversary Edition! And boy oh boy, there were Lays, Ruffles, Chipster, Farm Frites' Potato Wedges, Bega Stringers, Ben & Jerry's, Boulder Canyon chips, The Natural Gummies, Super Kimchi Ramen noodles, Choco-Pie! Famous Amos, Cadbury's Chocolate Mousse, Ferrero Rocher, Kinder Bueno, Dutch Lady Iced Lattes, etc. *phew*

I had a good time looking at the wines and vodkas, I don't drink, but you gotta admit, those bottles look pretty...

11. I am a meatitarian (more carnivore than omnivore) . I can't possibly imagine surviving without meat! Veggies are OK, but don't you ever get the feeling that no meat, no life? I probably will turn vegan when I'm old and I'm mature enough to realize that these things are not as healthy as veggies. But on second thoughts, maybe the most I could go is 30% vegan... ;)

12. I wanted to be a chef once, but I realized that I wouldn't be able to stand cooking something to ultimate perfection, (which takes a lot of passion and care) and watching someone ELSE gorge it down within 5 minutes. What I cook is what I eat. That's one of my principles.

13. I had a negative perception of girls who liked pink when I was really young. I hated Barbie too. (sorry to al Barbie fans)
But then again, I was really little and had no proper discernment whatsoever.

14. After I finish Form 5, I might work at Starbucks! Why? I like the smell of coffee, but I don't like drinking it. Anyone want to join me?

Finally...

15. I find words that are typed like ThIs aNd LiKe ThIs anD lIkE tHaT.. eTc. extremely AnNoYiNg. No offense to those who do though.

Sorry this took me a long time... And I hereby tag:

1. Xing Yii
2. Phaik Chern
3. Shu Zian
4. Anyone else wanna do this extremely exhilarating tag?!

Hello people... Did anyone notice that I broke a promise? If you didn't, then never mind. the truth shall show itself sooner or later. Did you miss me? (After all, I haven't updated in weeks.) *snigger*

We went to Negeri Sembilan (the land of textiles) Better than Bengal and Benares! [has been bitten by the Sejarah bug]

I don't have a camera, so I guess there's not going to be a pixspam. But... there's always PC's bloggie! (sorry...)

So here goes! The all famous Digi Ad! [courtesy of Lee Huey Fern and her Olympia Micro..] more or less.

When I wake up in the morning light...

And the sunlight hurts my eyes...

Then I look at you..

And I know it's gonna be..

A lovely daaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Lovely day...

Lovely day...

Lovely day...

Lovely day...

Lovely day...

Lovely day...

[i will follow you!]

Technically, everyone else has blogged about it, I've told you about it... So this is just a sorta little gag... ;) hope you liked it!

When pain is indeed gain...

Last saturday, I went to church to play LASTIC Counterstrike! Now all you Bible campers, this is different from last year. What we normally do when we play in our church is we take out most opf the chairs, dump some plastic chairs and tables in the kitchen, hall and compound, and then we split into two, run over to opposite ends of the church and 3, 2, 1... *BEGIN*

So technically we have plenty of places to hide and defense is more essential, and overall, there's more running space! w00t! So we noramlly play a couple of rounds, about 10-15! And then after each round we go sit in a corner and drink some orange "cordial" that Andrew mixes up for us.

Technically speaking, I got my first Lastic "scar" which is hardly visible now... Well, Oon Poh shot me close range! ARG! I just spotted him in the kitchen and naturally he saw me too, and then we were shooting each other every now and then taking cover behind the wall. Then Wei Sheng got killed and he was coming out, and i shot him by instinct!!! But he was already dead. (too bad) And then next thing i know, there's this hand with the rubber band stretched and the bullet prepared to soar, before i can reload or move out of the way.... BAM! Actually, it was just a little *tiakkk*
A nice little red mark on my arm. Nevermind, the rest also got a number of "battle wounds" too... :)

Anyway, as a sideline, the school choir has a blog! Yippee! Don't post offensive comments though, otherwise.. GRRR... not like Jess will approve the comment anyway. Link on the right!

CSDWS: Code Super Duper Whooper SADISTIC.

EDIT: Oh, i should probably dump a photo in just for fun. See?? the cat's so cute! never in my life have i seen such a cute cat!

Yeah, this is it's REAL acronym, and no, i'm not crazy. I'm gonna try to be happy with this layout, but i wish blogger would really hurry up and make more cool new templates! not these boring, stereotype, bore-you-to-death templates! Besides, the premade templates on the web don't work with the new blogger, but i NEED the new blogger cos' i'm practically glued to the Bloglist widget which is super duper cool, by the way... Anyway, i just remembered my 3 month old post still in edit mode. the supposed pixspam. i guess i should continue working on it, there are just SO many pix to spam you with!!! [see, the effort i put in for your pixspam enjoyment?] anyway, rest assured, i have lots of things to do... BUT i promise. the pixspam will be spamming you by this weekend. remind me if i break my promise, i'm very forgetful.

Now, there are so many things to talk about. let's see. After about a week sitting under the fan, (since hui lynn left for bangkok) I cannot seem to get myself back into sit-in-the-dingy-ol'-corner mode anymore. it's like if you tasted lemonade, you'd never want to go back for water even though lemonade looks like pee. And one more thing, DON't eat dog meat! Those of you having The Star 7th June 2008 PLEASE take a good look at those puppies on Star Two's front caver and think AGAIN! the protector of the POOP (Poor Puppies) has spoken! Good day. :)

CSS: Code Super Sadistic

Nah. That's not it's acronym. I'm feeling very hard-working today, and the weekend has just started, so I guess I will post something up here! Lately, I have been working on my Neopets user lookup.. and thanks to a new filter, I had to change the entire thing. So... here's the link, just for peeps. http://www.neopets.com/userlookup.phtml?user=ethmblue37

Who would bother about it anyway? Does anyone like the fragments pic up there? By the way, I'm currently working on a pixspam. I know PC calls it picspam, but I've gotta stay original to steal her idea. Anyway, back to the main topic. CSS, is a code.. like HTML but it's newer (and cooler) Anyway, when I have the time, I'll go try my hand at CSS coding and maybe change my drabby blog layout.

Meanwhile, does anyone know if the Penang hill tram is open already? Or the canopy walk? Need to know urgently. Thankies. And that's all folks! My next post in: (whenever i feel hard-working again)

ahem.

Now, since it's been more than a month since my bloggie's been updated, i must say something, else, this blog is as good as dead. so. Our dear Carmen has a bloggie, our dear Renee has a bloggie, and they have many, many, many, links. Now i'm gonna have to ask Min Yan something tomorrow, and that is ONLY for ME to know what i'm gonna ask her.

Why is this all zooming around a black hole? (as in a full stop) I mean, it's going no where. no main topic, not much substance, blah, blah, blah. Is that what you are thinking? Good. You're right. Then i'd better write about something else.

Rainbow connections. Ever thought about the song? Y'know, Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me? I don't get the connection with the rainbow. What's with the rainbow???? The lovers and the rainbow? The dreamers and the rainbow? Good fairytale story but not really relevant. Anyway, the song is nice, and that is what matters, my friend.

Speaking of which, Anastasia's At The Beginning is a really good song. Yes, this is a "ciplak" topic from Carmen's blog. (because i found myself talking rubbish AGAIN) This song, it was one of the craziest things i ever did. Sheesh, let's not talk about it, because the result wasn't what i hoped it would be. Moving on. NEXT!

Choral Speaking. Fern got best conductor! YAY!!!! But we didn't make it to the national finals. *sigh* The weather. GLOBAL WARMING alert!!! It HAS gotten hotter since the past few months. I have been sweating at least 30% more than i used to! The weather is like, nearing 38 degrees (Celcuis, mind you)!

And.. I have decided to give up my amazingly crazy idea of quitting Neopets and giving most of my incredible wealth to my heir, which is my sister, the Neo hoarder. She stuffs EVERYTHING she gets and owns into the Safety Deposit Box! She's GILAAAA! I'm quite the opposite. Whatever i get, i SELL! That's why i'm not a pauper like she is. :P GAh! just missed a Chocolate Turkey worth 10k! :( Oh well. (another reason why i'm rich)

Guess what? Our trainees are back safely in USM. So, no more marching during St. John's, no more excessive Chemistry drills, and so forth! But she's so nice, she gave us some mini Mentos that costs about 60 cents each! But she's nice. :) And my exam is coming in.. a week or two. ************beep**************

Meme !!:

A. People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs and replace any question they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves. Tag 8 people.

B. These 8 people must state who they were tagged by. You cannot tag the person who tagged you. Continue this game by sending this to 8 other people. People who are tagged will be blessed and their wishes will come true in the future...Just like all your wishes have come true from all those chain e-mails you used to send. ;)

BTW, Congrats Choral Speakers of 4 Arif! We're going to the State levels!

Nothing I'd like better than to waste time.

Technically, it's not wasting time la... It is educational! I'm practicing my English, I tell you!!! I'm having the time of my life in Form 4. No matter what the teachers say, it's GREAT! LOL. As if.

I wish i didn't have this wonderful mound of homework in front of me as i sit here typing. I wish i didn't have Ms. Lee's tuition later. I wish that everyday was a holiday. I wish that... WoW. Now I just realized i made a good wishlist no one could EVER grant! yes! it's THAT good! Wahahahahaha!

Recently, i found out that my Physics teacher isn't as bad as I thought she would be, and that my Add. Math teacher teaches like a bullet train during Tokyo's peak hour. I found myself joining Chem tuition when i thought i wasn't going to. I've eaten ice-cream at least thrice within these first 15 days of 2008 even when there was nothing to celebrate. I learned that staying back in school can be tiring. I've learned a thing or two about Pantun Mengenang Nasib... in short, in the first few 15 days, I've learned a LOT! I wonder how much more my brain can pack in 365 days. But all the teachers say that you have to pack 365 x 2 days.. for SPM. Sadddd.

Pn. Yon made us write an essay in 20 mins. Thankfully, i finished it. Cacat, but done. Also, after pumping up my pulse rate for a Bio experiment for the 2ND time! I have to draw the dumb graph. Yeeyerrrr. {hysics, some simple Standard form questions... Finish add. maths notes, write karangan and answer KOMSAS questions, the list ends here, for now. Ms Lee is bound to give homework later too. Pah. Back to WORK!!! :P

BBQ Night

School's starting tomorrow. Which is one of the reasons why we wanted to have this barbecue. Last year, if you recall reading this blog... I posted an entry on our barbecue. It's somewhere down there...

So, we invited a few of our friends, but sadly, they couldn't make it. A lot of people got sick this new year. Missed out on all the lovely food. But never mind.. maybe there'll be one next year. This year, we decided to have it in church instead of the beach, like last year. Mainly because of the fire-starting. Our O2 machines can't function well this year. The whole group of us arrived at about 5:30pm to start of with a game and a getting-to-know-you session. Of course, introductions were necessary, but how well do you know someone, really? By talking to them. Not just by group interaction...

So Oon Poh had the perfect solution. Pick a name, and then find out three things about the person. (earlier we wrote down the 3 things on a piece of paper) naturally quite a lot of the new-comers were shy... but Titus was afraid of talking to Emily??? In the end we found out Titus got Emily's name and Emily got Titus' name and both of them were asking me to tell them 3 things about the other person! LOL.

Then we went to eat!! the main event, of course. A lot of people whom we expected to come didn't so there was more than enough for everyone. Soooooo much food! We all were stuffed!!! And Chooi Mei was "drunk"... and then.. after a few more games... we all went home loh... what else to do.. no pics ya, sorry. Maybe I can get some pics from the "drunkard"... but i dunno. Until tomorrow... my holidays live on strong... hehehe.. =)

Christmas and Results!

It's Christmas time... And that's Roy playing the violin for us! Though halfway through it was making peculiar sounds because the strings got "Un-tuned" suddenly... Technical error... He and Arianna did a great job! [Right now i'm feeling so lazy la..]

It's supposedly customary for the youth to present an item for Christmas every year, but this year, we were busy with Bible Camp! So Andrew and Johnny say: No movie :(
Last year, they made an uber movie! I still have the DVD. But no movie... anyway, must pity Kah Yeong and Andrew, staying up like zombies editing the video. So we decided to go for the traditional choir after the shadow play didn't work out. (Abraham had to stand so near the cloth, his nose touched it, just for the shadow to come out the right size)

So we sang 4 or 5 songs, i can't remember. We are the Reason, It's Christmas Time, Noel, Sacrifice, When a Child is Born and Feliz Navidad to top it all. I must credit everyone for their oh-so-wonderful voices and spirits lifted up to praise the Lord. No caroling this year, though. Too busy already. After the Christmas day service, we jumped out of our formal clothing into shorts and baggy shirts to play... LASTIK COUNTERSTRIKE! Muahahahahahaha! So after gamboling around for about 3 hours, (such an exciting game) we went back home lo... CUT TO...

27th December 2007

Result day........ I went to school with my dad... and my hands were brutally cold, and I know were supposed to trust in the Lord, but humans are imperfect, and you know...
My dad was teasing me, saying that i should go walk over the pedestrian bridge, over the field... etc. ALONE! What??? No la, daddy please la.. follow me in... if not i might just cabut lari over to Amsterdam while making my way across the field.... After 10 minutes or so, I got my results, left the building, and went back, more relieved than happy actually. After I got home, then only realization sank in. PRAISE THE LORD!!! YAY!

So that's why i'm eagerly longing for the holidays to be well spent, before i go back to months and months of torture-that-is-for-your-future. Play basketball with my friends for example.. I can't shoot terribly well, but hey, least girls get the privilege of not getting blocked and stuff like that. Now back to our BBQ plans for the 1st of January. And the school magazine 2nd cover. Bye folks!

Bible Camp 2007!

Danny, the beautiful angel! ;)

one of the Bible camp groups, The Defenders of Faith.
(for some reason the other two group's pictures have not been released yet. =P)

from left: Emmilyn, May and Rachel

Hi everyone! Such a long pause after the last day of school, right? Well, I have to admit, I've kinda slacked at Blogger now. Bible Camp was a blast! (again) I was in the Ambassadors of Christ, along with 18 other people. So this year, our church was playing host of the Bible camp. Maybe we were feeling nervous cos' we may be subject to great expectations of the other assemblies... :O

We went to set everything up and then we had ice breaking! =) I met the rest of my group and they're really nice. Our big brother was Qu Wern, and he did a fantastic job despite it being his first time as big bro, along with Kah Wei (the old timer) and Andrew. My big sis was KerShin, a nice bubbly, girl who's quite eccentric around my sister. Edith's drunkeness is catching, I suppose. And Tabitha + me were to be assistants.

We had loads of fun, during sports, Yi Xin, Tabitha and Melissa were literally screaming their heads off cheering for our team!!! Then Qu Wern suggested we come up with a group cheer (like all the other groups, mah) Okay, how did it go??

Ambassadors, are you ready??!!!!!!!!
EVEREADY!!!
1-2-3!
Everywhere we go,
girls echo (everywhere we go)
People wanna know,
(people wanna know)
Who we are
(who we are)
*Resume crazy chanting* AM-BA-SA-DORS!!!! x 3
GO!!!!!!!!

=)

So that was the first day, and we were running late to go wash up after the games, so we took flight to the showers ASAP. Alas... full already.... aiyooooooo! Guys never have any problem washing up... just mandi kerbau la... but girls, no!!!! must wash with soap and shampoo hair!!!! it's just an instinct.. you can't say no to it... so finally at lst resort, I settled for the bathroom where you bathed using a hose and put your stuff on the toilet bowl. gross, i know. Not that there's a choice!!! Halfway through washing my hair, somebody shouted: Bell ring adeeeeeee!!!!
I panicked. changed, raced to the dorm to throw in my stuff, lock the dorm, raced down to the dining hall. all with SOAP in my hair. Yes, feel free to sympathize with me.

I was never late for dinner again. Then one day we had this Iron Chef game... we had to cook, of course, it's not some quick chef trivia. They gave us tau fu, and veggies, and egg, and fish and chicken to cook. so we set to work. 19 girls working on 3 dishes, you say, EASY! not so. there's only one knife. and one chopping board. and one stove. and one of each utensil. NOT EASY eh???? the guys got the fire started for us, duh. and then we started planning. Kershin is expert at the menu. "I know adee. Tomato chicken, fried fish, tau kua and egg" Ta-daa! but the fish was a problem. when we fried it, it didn't look too appetizing (since it was thinner than me) so Tabitha asked us to make a sauce for it.

Ok, what do we put inside? Chop-chop-chop garlic and onions till very fine and mushy, toss them into oyster sauce and add sugar.. wonderful... but when we poured it on the fish, it did look fatter, but it looked fake! bleh. time was running out, so we just dumped it on the table and got everything looking nice for the judges. One of their prized comments when they tasted our dishes? Nice garlic. Out of all the chicken, fish, veggie, egg, nice GARLIC. Well, one thing we know for sure, no vampires there.

We still managed to pull 2nd place... the guy's cooking (all three groups) surpassed the girl's cooking. ouch. nevermind! our guys did a wonderful job. Yay! There ws also a night game, last year's was a water balloon fight, this year's was smuggling a "Bible" (a small piece of paper) they turned off all the lights in the building and set the place up crawling with guards and tables. pulled down the shutter, leaving only minimal space to get through and started the game. I went in once, and didn't make it once. Nevermind... Melissa, the wondergirl got through 3 times!!!! *faints*

And the angel... that was the talent night. Can you believe the angel's clothes were made out of tissue roll? that's why at the end of the camp our comments and suggestions were filled with complaints of no toilet paper. XD This camp we used the song We Are The Reason, broke it by their stanzas and acted it out... wonderfully done, i must say. The big bro's and sis all agreed to turn the talent night, non-competitive, since we had to collaborate between the groups. =D of course, after the talent night was over, tis the night where nonsense like putting toothpaste on people's faces and playing stack on for the guys. For the girls, well, they talk lo... and sleep at
3 am.

I missed this year's stay up late night cos' i got sick halfway through the camp. Nevermind, my group took very good care of us... Us, because I wasn't the only one sick. This year's camp was quite special cos' for once, I felt at home with this circle of friends, they're like family. Next year, I'll be back for more. Care to join me? ;)

On this day I will look back and reminisce...

I might not notice yet, but as the days pass I'll get that old, same, nostalgic feeling again. Another school year gone by again. I only have two more left. Soon, there'll be none. How sadistic. It's been a wonderful year, our last year in 3 Biru. (I've always liked blue) Pn. Pargash will be retiring next year, so I guess we're all gonna miss her. She drew a "portrait" of Tricia in the school mag. It wasn't all A++, but it was sweet. =)

We had a class party today, after all, we had lots of $ cash $ in our class fund. We asked Miss Koay to call up the Pizza Hut delivery. So she called and the poor, dumb guy couldn't spell Convent, Green, or Lane, for that matter. After Jalan, he got stuck with Masjid. Miss Koay had to go... M for Malaysia, A for Australia, S for Singapore, J for Jalan??, I for India and D for Denmark!!!

Yesterday, the UPSR results came out. Today, the newspaper reports came out. The Star didn't even mention Convent Green Lane. Yeesh. And we had 52 straight A scorers. Yeesh! I wouldn't want to worry too much about that yet. PMR results are still far away. (or not) Hope we all get good Christmas presents from the Lembaga Peperiksaan Malaysia! lolx

So until next time and happy holidays!

A year forward...

Hmmm... I'm getting older. 15 years of eating, sleeping, breathing, etc.... =)

This has to be one of the nicest birthdays for me, in the sense that the Happy Birthday song was sang to me 3-5 times (once by Maria through MSN). Thanks everyone, for all the birthday wishes and presents. Honestly, you all are presents yourselves! However, all good things have to come to an end. It doesn't have to be an abrupt end though. Back to school tomorrow. Sure, PMR is over. Sure, there's no homework or exams, but sure enough, the school has always something to keep us occupied. (or bored our wits out)

My school "lawatans" are over. I went for only the Domino's Pizza one. Not much, but at least we had free pizza. XD
Bible Camp is coming soon, and so are the SPM and STPM. God bless Qian Yu, Sara, Danish, Jonathan, Adrian and Wei Shyang.

Christmas comes right after Bible Camp so we'll be busy. Until next time.

After an extremely long hiatus....

Hello! I have decided to take time and update this little thing where I post stuff here, instead of being stuck to Neopets all the time... (actually, I'm still switching between tabs to Neopets again)Okay, so PMR has officially ceased to exist as a threat to my life, since like... the beginning of this month. Wow. Where have I been?? Oh right... Neopets.

I was just reading Reader's Digest and for nearly the 58th time, I said to myself "Hey! Sending in a joke could make you a millionaire!!!" Yes, to an average teen 100 USD is a lot. Do the math: 3.5 x 100= RM 350! For a JOKE. Yup. But it has to be a good one. I know. I've tried many a time to submit in a joke. For the sake of RM 350. Oh well, it's still money! And then I spotted: My Story 500 USD! Math: 3.5 x 500= RM 1750!!!! $_$
lol. Talk about being money minded.

So... I have gotten quite addicted to a TVB show called 'War of In-Laws' RTM2 /Astro 102, Mon-Fri 7.00pm. I actually eat earlier so that I can watch the show without having to run back and forth to the dining table. Thinking about it, I'll build some leg muscles... Anyway, the story is rather complicated right now because they're 7 episodes away from the ending. I'm gonna try to coax my mum to buy the CD. *obsessed*
I LOVE THAT SHOW!!! @_@

By the way, I think I'm the only one out of Fern, Jo, Phaik Chern and Maria to update our blogs after PMR. According to my commentary records, PC seems to be the most active blogger here. =)

So for now, adieu! =D

=]

Somehow I keep wondering if things could ever be not any one's fault. But of course, that's only human nature to think that way. Each has a price to pay, which you can't get rid of unless someone offers to pay for you. I guess sometimes, no, numerous times, I feel that it's not mine. Fault, that is. Why am I talking about this? Our PMR trials are over and well, freedom still seems a few doors away. After that it's TORTURE postponed to Form 4. Hrm.. Anyway, I've done something wrong today, as usual... the guilt's there, the fear's there too. Haha... Life.

I went over to MidValley last night (Can you believe it? Right before my Sejarah exam too) to have a look at the Popular Mega Book Fair. I got a few deals, my mum had more, and the CDs were the cheapest! RM4.90 could get me a Westlife CD. I'm not exactly a fan, but hey! RM 5.oo CD----"who dunwan?" Unfortunately, my dear friends, sadly to inform you all who are thinking of visiting the Book Fair soon, the night I went was the last day.. Awwww...

I don't feel that bad today, considering my Science marks. But.. IT'S NOT MY FAULT! Maybe partly, but the majority was just... ah. Nevermind. Malaysia has celebrated its 50th Merdeka! Yeah... Uncle and Aunty Siu had a gathering at their house on that night. Peaceful dinner. Very peaceful. Since Chooi Mei aka Drunkard's was absent. Pity... there was red wine too. Lolx. We should have more of those.

Our school celebrated it on quite a moderately grand scale too. If you didn't notice, you probably don't know where my school is, never pass Jalan Masjid Negeri at least once a week, or you're kidding me. But frankly speaking, I think patriotism will be easier cultivated in the young spirits by leaving them to express their love, not telling them what to do. The more you force it to them, the more they'll reject it. Pointless. I know, we young people are DIFFICULT.

Many things can happen in a split second, so I've realized in the past few weeks of not writing in here. By the way, split second is a metaphor. So many things just whiz past. Nearly all of them change you. Take the school fair for example. I was bored. I probably wasted all my time there staring at accessories, people, and more people. I didn't even go much anywhere. But hey, for a good cause lah... (Hello? I didn't eat until 3 pm!!!!) Quit complaining. I wish more of my friends would have come, but Xin Yu is in Kelantan, Qian Yu has exams, May has taekwondo, Andrew.. Dunno his excuse. Shuyi had a nice time, I remember.

I had sinus this morning. Exam day too. Sinus is a blessing, according to my mother. Gets all the bacteria out of your insides before it kills ya' so she says. At least there's a pro. I often wish things would always turn out the way I want it to, but then that's not called life then, is it? So we'll still journey on with a brave heart, with plenty of faith, knowing that we'll never walk alone. Remember. No need to worry, no need to fear cos' He's always right here.

Have you taken a Littmus Lozenge? Neither have I. I watched Because Of Winn-Dixie a few days ago. Interesting story. This special sweet tastes sweet. But at the same time, sorrowful. We all know how sorrow "tastes". The reason why it was so "laku" was that it had the taste to make you want to be happy and sad at the same time. Cool? Unfortunately, the movie isn't based on a true story, so I have no Littmus Lozenge for the highest bidder or anything like that.

I read one story in a Chicken Soup series. It was about how the world won't wait. Not even for anyone's broken heart. Just have to keep on moving. But don't forget anything. Don't forget all the memories and lessons. Not even that time when your sister whacked your head with a foot-long umbrella. It may come in handy one day. Just a WHACK and you'll never have to worry about that thief robbing you of your possessions on ________ Street. So don't pretend that kind of thing never hurt you just to get rid of that awful feeling. If you do that, the feeling never will leave. In time you'll heal.

Did I mention my everlasting interest in stars? I dunno why. Maybe it's cos' that's what my name means. Recently Ms. Koay gave us a Space talk. Full of black holes, neutron stars, white dwarfs, red giants, blue super giants, comets, constellations etc. There is a star I like very much. I thank God for creating that star, man. In case you haven't heard of it, there is a North Star. No, not the shoe brand. (They make nice shoes!) The star itself. Another name is Polaris. Provided there are 365 clear nights, it's visible 365 days a year. Anywhere, Anytime. (If I recall, it's a slogan of a company. Sorry if you're copyrighted...)

It's wherever you are. And the greatest reminder to me every time I look up and see that little star, is that there's always someone who's watching over me. God, friends, family, anyone. Someone's thinking of me, someone's loving me tonight, someone's saying a prayer for me. Never forget that. Just when you think no one cares, no understands, no one feels.. think of that star. The Polaris, a promise to be with you, seeing you through, always beside you. As we all know, the Polaris was a navigational instrument in the olden days. So if you ever lose your way, you'll now where to look. Follow where the star leads and you'll be found. But don't follow blindly. There are many stars, but only one is the Polaris.

On Merdeka night at the gathering, I was looking for it. See, Uncle Siu has this FABOO fish pond with Kois swimming around in his back garden. And so I just sat there looking into the sky. I didn't see the star but I knew God and my real "Polaris" people there as well. Ever need a reminder that someone cares?

Now you know why I like the Polaris. ;)

em..ERgency

argh.. piles of homework. study books? pretty much untouched. And i can relax????

duh.

lol. anyway., we got a false alarm. false eMeRgEnCy! they said trials were gonna touchdown on Penang at the end of this month!!!! ALARM! SIREN! 991~! Police! Fire! Stop! Thief!

ok, enough with that nonsense. so we had a fire drill. two, to be exact. we were all in the science lab with miss koay blabbing more stuff about electric generators and stepup and down transformers... speaking of which, she told us that another class was soooo happy when she told them she was gonna show them transformers. (they thought she meant the movie) i would be as excited too, i'd bet.

so then the siren went off.. and our class was at peace, listening to the computer lesson naration. (not)

We thought it was some drilling cos' some upgrades were being made to the toilets. luckily we saw the other students coming out, and it was just a drill and not a real fire!
(if not, byebye 3 biru) = (

So we "lined up" (didn't bother to turn and see if it was a SINGLE line or not) and trotted.. yes i will use this word.. trotted to the big, luas, padang. Ahhh... i know what you're thinking. There's nothing like about 300 puteri lilins receiving Vitamin D from the morning sun. WRONG! cut a long story short, we nearly died. haha. not that serious. Okay, we didn't like it!

And Mr oung was carrying a satchel containing a speaker, trying to shout the sky down with the faulty microphone. Obviously. It's convent green lane, it's a sweltering 34 degrees, what do you think we would do???? complain, of course. And as you know, we're creative girls. It was uniform day and some of the rangers had their scarves on. A win-win situation? take off your scarf> you'll get cooler, and wrap it around your head!!! s.m.a.r.t??

So the teachers esp mr oung, complained we weren't cooperating. the result? another EmErGeNcY loh... ms koay was still in the lab, and of course could not contain her joy as our class came trotting back into the fold/lab. Fern had to break the news. We're gonna have to go again. ---ms koay's joy faded as quickly as it came--- awww..

Our second time, and we were getting smarter. Armed with books and umbrellas to shield us from the UV rays of the sun! Unfortunately, the teachers were upset that we'd rather have our minds on the heat than how important a fire drill was. Quote: In a real fire, you'll DIE!!!
yeah. They confiscated scarves, books and brollies by the multitude. next announcement? claim your whatever-s and claim 2 demerits. uh-oh. Nevermind.. we must put our expertise together and come up with a plan. Sharvin, our official lawyer did the talking.

NEGOTIATED.

STATED REASONS.

PROVED NOT GUILTY! yesssssss!

=)

goodbye, goodbye, be always kind and good!

Our sunday school is over,
And we are going home,
Goodbye, goodbye,
Be always kind and good,
Goodbye, goodbye,
be always kind and good!

a really long time since i sang that little sunday school song juz before going back home.
i have been saving up for this post.

xin yu left today for Kelantan
-- 3 biru, rmbr kelantan ladies everywhere, raise ur brooms up in the air?--

gone to study dentistry, amazingly a 5A STPM student who doesn't want to take medicine! no offense to the other ppl out there who want to become doctors.

xin yu is the one with the BATAVIA shirt.

and now i have to play da piano. it can be really hard sometimes, but everyone keeps telling me that i'm doing it for God. so i guess that really lifts my spirits up. i mean, some ppl in the outside world tell me that if i'm not good enough, i might as well don't do it! so Thanks. =)

besides, pn kang told me a few hours ago that i have to do my BM oral test with invigilators from other schools! i dunno why on earth she chose me of all ppl. Seriously, i'm not saying this because i'm hiding something, but i'm really shocked and surprised and most of all, scared. I mean, why me???????

and remind me to tell jess abt this. before monday.

anyway, choir competition is coming on wednesday! yikes! at least that is in a group. we got our "dresses" already, beige top with long, long, long, red skirt. i don't mind it, but i wish the skirt wouldn't drag on the floor!!! i prefer to call it costume or uniform but pn gwee clearly says that she wants it to be called DRESSES!

oh well..

i passed up my KH woodwork today. i'm pretty happy with it, to be honest with ya.. but i got a B which is 3 out of4 marks. doesn't matter. be happy, and be thankful u didn't get an F will do.

that's all for now. bye! and fern has a blog with BLOGGER! yeah! blogger rocks!

Happy Teacher's Day! (belated)

The official day was the 16th of May, but we celebrated it today. So i was wondering... is it gonna be like all other ones we've had??? i was still exhilarated cos there wasn't going to be any lessons. And then i was just lying on my bed last night, thinking of all the food we would eat, all the fun we would have, all the performances we would enjoy... oh then... then..

yeesh. now how? pn. pargash is mad at us. how on earth are we gonna have a meaningful teacher's day if she wasn't happy?? she is our class teacher. maybe she wouldn't even enter our class. *gasp* "choi, choi!"
my little mind revoked. "touch wood, touch wood!" it cried again. as if touching wood would stop that... yeesh.

Fern and Jess DID try. "Haiyo, u think so easy meh? if u got really mad also u won't want to forgive so easily la," my mind said again. what an annoying little voice, i thought. where was its snooze button?! as if i had hit the imaginary "snooze button", i felt drowsy. Maybe it was juz me, OR the snooze button. now i can't think. must.. ZZZZZZZZZZ

Next day.

wakes up groggy again. stumbles into the same chair. bleh. pushes it aside. walks off to bathroom. >>> 40 mins later... ready for school.

reach school. yay. pretty pathetic mood for such a beautiful day the Lord has made.

oh well. forget it. Que sera sera. Whatever will be, will be. suddenly happy again.

Fern announces: sheema and min yan have came up with an apology song for her!
what's the tune? Welcome to my black parade. Oh. the one i didn't like. nevermind. Que sera, sera again. < Bad habit, that que sera, sera. i'm not perfect, am i?

She finally comes in. I hold my breath. shee peeps through the door, probably wondering why it's closed. with all the food in there too. first thing she does is points to the full dustbin. whoops. we'll deal with that later.
"Who..." sentence in mid-air.
We were standing with sheet of paper in our hands, like some kind of caroling group. only that it wasn't Christmas. she closed the door, unsure of what awaited her.

nice song. i thought as i lip-synched the lyrics. i didn't like the tune. no offence to my chemical romance fans. she was clearly touched. *(yay! it worked!)
she started giving us a nice speech (or whatever u call it) half the class cried.
awwwwwww... sweet memories.

Happy teacher's day. whoops. (belated)
=)

Slogs off to school...

NOOOOOOOO.... holz have ended... my nightmare came to life.. i got 2nd lowest in da class for seni. 64% blekk. but i plan to keep my drawings and leave a legacy to my descendants (or maybe jz my sisters) to SELL those drawings when i die!!!! Buy for RM5 also nvm... at least it's something worth spending ur money on.. hehehe

more marks to come out tmr. in fact.. the rest of the marks to come out tmr!!! but be contented with whatever u hav lerr.. not like u can re-sit the exam. i mean, i have something to thank God for. It seems so weird to be complaining over your marks when someone else got way lower. Just be satisfied that u got a B and not a C. or a 84 instead of a 48. there's more to life than studies...
=)

i cringe when i look at bad grades. looks like i hav to do some fixing up with myself. just try harder next time..

btw.. my squeaky fan squeaks again. until then.

spiderman 3 rocks!!!!

just watched it today.. at home. u all know wad dat means ya.... hehehehe
nice show. as the critics said: something was missing. could've been better though, still, very intriguing. read on for spoilers... ekekeke

1. Harry becomes the Green Goblin Jr. and dies in the end.. dun ask me how. i'll be telling u da whole story lidat..

2. Peter HITS MJ!!!!!!! *gasp* he actually knocks her to the floor. and she's like... s-h-o-c-k-e-d, h-u-r-t, c-o-n-f-u-s-e-d.

3. The real killer of Uncle Ben wasn't da guy with da funny hair.. it's someone else.

4. Peter wanted to propose to Mary Jane (MJ).

5. Peter becomes as cruel as u can possibly imagine.

6. Villains- at the end: Venom - mati
Sandman - hidup
Green Goblin II, Green Goblin Jr. or watever - mati.. but in a good way..
dun worry. =)

Quite an interesting story, and brilliant effects. Good message though.

It was fun!! our group didn't win, but hey! who says winning is everything? the theme was the Garden of Eden the winners entry was very creative! nxt time when i get my hands on the pics, i'll post them here! Edith's group was nice oso... she kept complaining abt her "obese" Adam and Eve though... XD the bodies were tomatoes and a piece of carrot for each head! Hey, we'll never know wad, whether Adam and Eve looked lidat oso. but still, i think if u maintain a fruit-only diet, u'll never look like those tomatoes. hahaha.. our group's was nice also, with some "plant jelly"~ Jonie shld noe diz.. transparent little jelly balls.. very cute and pretty. i nearly ate them before Aunty Chye Seng told me not to. lolx

meanwhile, holz jz around the corner. friday is the last day, but i STILL hav 2 attend choir "intensive" practice for Pesta Muzik. Three days. Three hours each. Sore thoat. till nxt time, bbye =)

tomorrow is sports day...

GO GREEN, GO!!! Yes, and Jolene's mum supports us, right Jolene?? Hahaha.. good luck to all of us and all our houses... who wins, who loses, who cares... as long as we show good sportsmanship and try our best we're all winners!!! (there goes that famous phrase again)

What happened today:
  • We went to school as usual.
  • We picked up our green house tees... (they're beautiful, except for the dragons...)
  • We did our aerobics... for those of you who don't know, with red and yellow POM POMS!!!
  • We practically lazed around during Moral...
  • We got our Geog marks... (there was a MAJOR heart-attack for almost everyone... but it was just a mistake..)
  • We all went home.. (except for the hard-working blue house members who stayed back to march)

Our marching team... i dunno how it looks like from the audience's point of view.. but i hope we do well. God bless the rest of the march past contenders as well!!! Aiyo.. later got tuition... today is double tuition day... have to practice piano a LOT!!! got so many kerja kursus half done.. and the dumb ol' aerobics is starting to make me sick...

and we're getting 3 kk Marks for EMBARRASSMENT?? helloooooo... our dignity is at stake!!! juz jokin.. but feel welcome to come and stop by to watch our performance! tomorrow, early in the morning. Of course i mean the parents and not any other curious strangers.... haha..

tomorrow, we will see which house will win the house-cup!!!! (sounds like Harry Potter...) wahey! most importantly............. Have you paid for the domino's pizza you ordered??? yumm yum... hungry now.. gonna go eat somthing, and i think that something is dinner!!!! do i smell chicken? =)

outing invite!!!

hey everyone, back during the first day of holidays!! =P
hmm..

yesterday, which was Sunday, five of us "scouts" or "spies" or "surveyors" went to brave the unknown forests of Penang to get to Pantai Kerancut. (you probably don't know where that is...)
Andrew, Oon Poh, Sey Yen, Xin Yu and me trekked for 1 and 1/2 hours through quite easy terrain... interesting things to look at, and not hot at all.. the trees provide ample amount of shade... :)

Quite a nice, natural environment... and then we reached the beach!!! Wahoo!!

The beach was quite clean.. and they had a number of campers camping in a provided spot nearby the beach. (so the conditions there are liveable..) the toilets are quite clean.. better than the ones in the hawker stalls.. they even have showers!!!
kewll!!!

We checked the beach out.. it was really hot there but a little way off was some rocks and SHADE!!! yeah!!! nice spot!!! after chillin' , we pondered on how to get back.. the walk was no joke.. but there was some boat guys offering us a ride back to the jetty where we first started!!! yippee!!! but, we had to be cautious... don't want them cheating us.. we finally agreed on RM12 per person. (RM60 for all) Andrew belanja!!! hahahahahaha!!

So.... the conclusion??? u wanna join us on the 31st of March??? u r welcome!!! we're deciding on the plans... no hurry.. 31st march is abt 3 weeks away.. so ask if u wanna come with my church youth group to pantai keranchut!!! further details will be notified later on when arrangements are made..

ATTN: the picture is not the actual place!!! hehe.. just grabbed a beach pic from google.. =)
*note as of 6:32pm 21st June: The pic was a weird ad by some sicko. sry. no beach pic. ;)

the day the videos attacked...

view these videos...
Video #1

what do YOU think??

It actually depends on how you use the internet. No one is wrong. The internet can be a bad thing or a good thing. =) Just make sure you use it as a good thing and for a good thing.

Video #2

Internet Explorer 7... I wouldn't be surprised if one day we could do all that.. But now, it's just beyond imagination.

Video #3

I wouldn't go for that anyway.. why change looks when you could just be happy for the way people treat you?? And people out there, be careful of other people's feelings. Don't say thing that will hurt or damage self-esteem. It's one of the worst things anyone could do.

Video #4

Coke. I don't actually like Coke, but I just LOVE this ad... Don't you? ;)

Video #5

Civic choir. Looks easy. NOT easy..

This is awesome.. A tad messy though..

was running through my pictures, when suddenly...

ZAM! lolx...

The one where we're holding the tower up is at the Leaning Tower of Wanaka, NZ. It's actually suspended that way, so we're not exactly biceps-triceps sort of people.. They also had a HUMONGOUS maze in there where you had to navigate yourselves to 4 different coloured towers in the right order... The prize? The satisfaction of course.. No, I didn't complete that thing... we were like hamsters running around... You could actually have the irony of having your sister 1 metre from you, but you're not on the same road and there's NO WAY of reaching each other... I was the desperado and had to crawl underneath the maze fence.. (one of God's many hidden blessings of being thin) And there were some toilets there... one Roman aged and another modern type.. we sat on the Roman ones for fun.. (of COURSE we didn't do anything in THERE!!!) Know why? The "toilet bowls" were so big that I could literally fit into it!! XD The Romans would scoop their business from the "toilet bowl" to nearby drains... ewww...

The other pic is when we were in Aussieland!!! We went boating.. My dad, my aunt, my cuzzin, Phyllis, Edith and me... We didn't do very much work.. my dad and Ee Ee were experts at maning the boat.. we just sat and enjoyed the ride.. When the next batch went.. my mum, my Grandma and another two Ee Ees went... they were just going round and round in circles and we were sitting on the bank and laughing our insides out!!! (evil people..)

Busy, busy, busy...

My whole Wednesday. GONE. I'm soooooo sad... Oklah, marching wasn't that bad... Then got double tuition... I'm starting to turn into a robot... But as Huey Fern says: Keep holding on.

And *ahem* don't let go. But AMAZINGLY... I feel good!!! I feel nice... Like sugar and spice... fresher than ever! kewl...

>> Oooo.. and I like those two pics... =)
Fresher and splashier..

So lets take a look at the Ed board "job apps" results...
Jolene, Tricia, Natasha, Hui Lynn, Huey Fern + other people and I got into the Ed board team!!! Woohooo!! Honestly, I didn't expect to make it... I was already making preparations on my new club... But congrats, you guys!!! YAY!!! XD

Sejarah quiz on Monday... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
Ouch... >.< Sejarah quizzes hurt?? And Maria has extra $$????? Soo lucky... the last time I was treasurer, I got into hot soup with a teacher who-probably-declines-to-be-named... (but she wasn't nice at that time... now she's nicer..since... *ahem*) nevermind that.. I just lost $1.40!!!! How I lost it still remains a mystery... boy, was I scared... of that teacher.. If you guys reading this find out who she was.. I'll belanja you a hacks sweet!!! hahahaha so make wild guesseslar...

AND: LAST BUT NOT LEAST>>>

A very Happy 15th Birthday to Jessica Quah tommorow/ 27th January 2007
I doubt you'd ever see this... but anyway... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! =) =)

Huey Fern thanks for the very fiiirsstt coomment made on this blog.... We're in the same department!!! Nosey reporters... haha..

Hiking trip... > Wet and WILD!

Some of you might have known our youth was going on a hiking trip today... I think it was raining in most parts of Penang at about 4:00 pm, my dad said that the clouds were actually moving AWAY from Penang hill. So did all of us.

We made our way up, and true enough, there was sunshine for miles!! Yippee! We huffed and puffed our way up the hill and Xin Yu, Edith, Andrew, a few others and me chose to go up the steep, STEEP, way. Using a rope provided of course. We never had any super-glue on our feet.
So up we went, but clearly, we were not as fit as the others (who STILL started earlier) and we still ended up last although we used the steep climb. By the way, Andrew's walkie-talkie dropped off as he was climbing up, but it wasn't damaged in ANY way, Praise The Lord!!

When we reached half station, (of course we didn't mean to climb the whole way) it began to drizzle.. Oh NO! Oh Yes... So we gathered in a shelter and played some games... a few minutes later the rain stopped. But we said, oh , that's just fine, we'll stay here a little longer before going down.. But after that, rain came tumbling down.... HEAVILY..

We stayed there and played plenty of games (ow, Chooi Mei, you hit hard) and my dad suggested that we should take the pastic sheets nearby and go down with them OR we could just hold it like a parachute, jump off the cliff and fly to your respective residences. Not Good.
So when the heavy rain ceased, we decided to make a run for it. It was drizzling a little when we left and mid-way, it started P-O-U-R-I-N-G!!!! really. We were S-O-A-K-E-D. Like C-O-M-P-L-E-T-L-Y... we were dripping... BUT! BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT!
We were safe and... AND! AND, AND, AND, AND!
We were hiking down>> in the rain.. :O
Hiking down in the rain... think about it, HIKING IN THE RAIN...
How many people do that???!!!!
AND... a plus point>> Xin Yu says it's romantic... (well, how could you NOT believe a 13A SPM student???!)

Definitely a blessing in disguise... Thank You Lord. And I pray that every one of us will keep healthy so that tomorrow, we won't hear ANY *atchoos* or *sniffs* in church tomorrow morning... Thank You. Amen.

Jesus, Take The Wheel!

this song, i'd like to recommend to all of you people out there, this song is really beautiful and touching... :)

It tells of someone who once decided to be the BOSS of her own life, (which many of us young people insist on doing) and it turns out HORRIBLY wrong.. on her way back to visit her parents, something happens and her car goes out of control, she prays and asks Jesus to take the wheel, she can't do it on her own, that kind of thing...

she finds herself safe and she doesn't go off whistling saying: "Hey, boy was I ever lucky!" Nope. she prays again and thanks God and tells Jesus that from now on, she's gonna let Jesus take the wheel, and drive her life. There's no better way to live your life> knowing that it's safe in Jesus' hands, no matter whatever trials you go through, Jesus is driving your life, so you don't have to worry, just hold on and let Him take the wheel. ;)

Here's the link to the music video: http://www.cmt.com/artists/az/underwood__carrie/videos.jhtml

copy and paste into your browser, use internet explorer.. and click on the Jesus take the wheel music video thing...

enjoy! God Bless and hope YOU make the decision to let Jesus take the wheel and drive your life.

sluggish start.. ;)

ahhh... today, thursday, got a lot of subjects today and a lot of homework as well... at least double tuition day is over... :)

school is resuming as a normal, boring, typical day... and i didn't get into squash club cuz they were FULL!!!! XO waahh.. and i'm not joining karate anymore, decided to stick with choir.

imagine that, i'm so indecisive.. it's one day this and another day that... joined editorial board, but a place is NOT guaranteed.

going back to KL for CNY... N ooooooo... don't wanna go back there.. i'd rather stay here than go to a nice, swanky hotel in Putrajaya... believe it or not? Believe it.
today, i didn't get my daily dose of The Star!! the newspaperman made a mistake and gave us the News Straits Times instead.. it's not THAT bad, but i'd rather have The Star since i've been reading it when i was std4..

my dad has gone a little crackers over bird-watching.. he's been going out to the garden almost everyday to catch a glimpse of Si Kingfisherlah, Si Burung Pipitlah, Si Canarylah, Si.. well, a lot of birds.. he's got plenty of pics and 2 movies with unfortunately, very tiny screens.

i miss the holidays.. the last 2 days: I spent it in full swing. If i ever were to go back to school again, i'll HAVE to have fun till' the last minute of freedom... XD 1st Jan was BBQ at the beach (we took 1 and 1/2 hrs to get the fire STARTED!!) but it was great fun and special thanks to our proton Gen2 blower which helped supply oxygen to the fire...

Jan 2: we woke up early to see Sarah off to Australia and we ended up at the airport about 1/2 hours before Sarah herself arrived... haha We are the ones who are sending someone off not being sent off by anyone and we came 30 mins earlier than the passengers!! LOL After that, we met at Gurney for lunch at the food court, (next time i HAVE to learn how the food court system works...) and then jalan-jalan a bit, then run upstairs to watch... NIGHT IN THE MUSUEM!!!

It's not a scary show at ALL... it's pre-tty good i must admit. plenty of laughs in there. okay, i admit: It's SUPERB!!! *claps* absolutely HILLARIOUS!! then go back with Xin Yu, Qian Yu and Sam and then start the back-to-school blues again. but before that.. it was good. real good. ;P

NOTE: In case you EVER wondered, the ROOT of evil is NOT money $P > the ROOT of evil is actually the LOVE of money... $$

beginning or an end :?

2007... this year, i have to read and UNDERSTAND merdeka, merdeka: the bahasa novel in Form 3.. :( Nooooooo... i don't wanna read it... so far i'm on page 38, chapter 4: Perjalanan.. yup, the book is right in front of me.. lemme see.. 140 pages altogether. that means 102 more pages to read.. *sigh* and tomorrow i have to go to school. The worst things about weekends are that they end as fast as they start..

now back to reading the novel.. where was i.. oh yes, sepanjang perjalanan dari Gerik ke Kuala Kangsar... dozes off.. ZZZzzzzzz XO *wakes up with a start* oh ehm.. so school today, tuition later, and then i'm FREE!!! until tomorrow for school and wednesday for tuition.

ko-k needs me to choose them.. hmm... i think i won't continue on with choir this year so i'm considering karate.. but i've NEVER started karate before and i'll probably begin at white belt.. sheesh.. f3 and still a white-belter..XD not that it really matters. My sport: this year i'm joining squash! again, i've never played squash in my life before.. so new year, new ko-k activities, right? my club? i wanna join ed board, but i'm worried that i'll be too busy.. anyway that is IF i manage to get through the auditions.. but if that doesn't work.. i MIGHT join the student's welfare council or some other club, maybe i'll stick with ELS.. i have no idea.. call me indecisive.. :P

PMR this year.. this is the 2nd week of school ONLY and they're already telling us about their 'intensive' training already.. especially from sejarah.. *shudders* oh yes, thanks to Qian Yu and Shuyi for their test papers and school books>> save $$ ;)
(i highly doubt you both have seen this public err.. thank you?)

till' next time>> which is i dunno when but the time will come again when i post an entry here..
